QXO names tech veteran Val Liborski as new CTO

Investing.com -- QXO Inc (NYSE:QXO) announced Wednesday the appointment of Val Liborski as chief technology officer (CTO), effective from April 21, 2025. Liborski, a global tech veteran, previously held the same role at Yahoo and HelloFresh (OTC:HLFFF). He also led engineering and product management at Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Web Services and later managed the technology for Amazon’s consumer business expansion in Europe. Early in his career, Liborski held senior engineering positions at Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), where he developed large-scale data systems for Bing and advanced AI-driven advertising platforms.
Brad Jacobs, chairman and chief executive officer of QXO, praised Liborski’s background in high-performance companies where effective execution is crucial for market leadership. He believes Liborski’s experience leading world-class teams at innovative companies provides QXO with a significant competitive edge.
QXO is setting its sights on becoming a leader in the $800 billion building products distribution industry and aims to generate substantial value for shareholders. The company’s target is to achieve an annual revenue of $50 billion in the next decade through a combination of accretive acquisitions and organic growth.
In its latest strategic move, QXO recently signed a definitive agreement to acquire Beacon Roofing Supply (NASDAQ:BECN) for around $11 billion. This acquisition, expected to close the week of April 28, 2025, will make QXO the second-largest distributor of roofing products in the United States. In addition to its distribution business, QXO also offers technology solutions to clients in the manufacturing, distribution, and service sectors.
