Portugal stocks lower at close of trade; PSI down 0.53%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS), which rose 1.39% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) added 0.25% or 0.02 points to end at 8.04 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was down 0.12% or 0.01 points to 8.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which fell 1.78% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.87 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 1.32% or 0.26 points to end at 19.43 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was down 0.92% or 0.03 points to 2.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) fell to 5-year lows; down 0.92% or 0.03 to 2.90.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.94% or 1.49 to $75.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.22% or 1.63 to hit $71.69 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.00% or 0.06 to trade at $2,932.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 107.75.
