Netherlands stocks higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.58%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.58% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which rose 3.24% or 15.70 points to trade at 500.40 at the close. Meanwhile, BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) added 3.22% or 3.70 points to end at 118.70 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was up 2.52% or 16.80 points to 683.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR), which fell 1.74% or 0.96 points to trade at 54.30 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 1.46% or 0.32 points to end at 21.65 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was down 1.01% or 0.80 points to 78.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 60 to 37 and 12 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.95% or 1.83 to $63.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.62% or 1.70 to hit $66.66 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 31.81 to trade at $3,259.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
