Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.97%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.97% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb), which rose 3.25% or 14.00 points to trade at 444.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 2.75% or 3.70 points to end at 138.15 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 2.55% or 0.89 points to 35.82 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which fell 5.76% or 2.70 points to trade at 44.00 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 2.49% or 0.13 points to end at 5.24 and Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) was down 2.09% or 0.54 points to 25.25.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 384 to 375 and 73 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.38% or 1.50 to $61.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.35% or 1.55 to hit $64.54 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 31.21 to trade at $3,219.51 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 10.89, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.00% to 9.74.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 100.72.
