Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.03%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN), which rose 2.00% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Relx PLC (AS:REL) added 1.73% or 0.82 points to end at 48.26 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was up 1.63% or 0.34 points to 21.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which fell 3.87% or 4.65 points to trade at 115.50 at the close. Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) declined 1.67% or 27.60 points to end at 1,621.80 and Shell PLC (AS:SHEL) was down 1.47% or 0.44 points to 29.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 55 to 40 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.63% or 0.34 to 21.17.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.34% or 1.48 to $61.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.33% or 1.54 to hit $64.55 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 32.01 to trade at $3,220.31 a troy ounce.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 100.71.
