France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.21%

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.21%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE), which rose 3.57% or 0.63 points to trade at 18.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) added 2.90% or 2.20 points to end at 78.02 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was up 2.75% or 6.60 points to 246.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:PRTP), which fell 5.01% or 9.26 points to trade at 175.74 at the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) declined 3.41% or 17.90 points to end at 507.30 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) was down 1.68% or 1.62 points to 94.96.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Beneteau SA (EPA:CHBE) which rose 4.13% to 8.33, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) which was up 4.05% to settle at 19.52 and SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which gained 3.58% to close at 28.34.
The worst performers were Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was down 18.20% to 9.55 in late trade, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which lost 5.63% to settle at 4.98 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) which was down 5.01% to 175.74 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 247 to 243 and 77 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.05% or 33.39 to $3,221.69 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.36% or 1.49 to hit $61.66 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.33% or 1.54 to trade at $64.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 100.67.
