(Reuters) -European Union antitrust authorities are scrutinizing fees charged by payments processing giants Visa (NYSE:V) and Mastercard (NYSE:MA), Bloomberg News reported on Friday.

Spokespersons for Visa and Mastercard did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests for comment.
