Portugal stocks lower at close of trade; PSI down 0.61%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which rose 1.13% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.66 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 0.94% or 0.08 points to end at 8.63 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was up 0.63% or 0.02 points to 3.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which fell 8.86% or 0.55 points to trade at 5.66 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 3.46% or 0.13 points to end at 3.52 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was down 2.71% or 0.50 points to 17.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.13% or 0.01 to 0.66.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.45% or 0.29 to $64.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.47% or 0.29 to hit $61.49 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.94% or 63.86 to trade at $3,358.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
