Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 1.03%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 1.03%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which rose 2.01% or 1.92 points to trade at 97.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) added 0.69% or 1.10 points to end at 161.25 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 0.41% or 0.20 points to 48.96 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which fell 2.95% or 14.20 points to trade at 467.70 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 2.59% or 2.80 points to end at 105.30 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was down 2.58% or 2.02 points to 76.26.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 30 and 14 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.49% or 0.30 to $61.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.47% or 0.30 to hit $64.74 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.90% or 62.51 to trade at $3,357.51 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 99.15.
