Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.27%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.27%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA), which rose 1.78% or 21.00 points to trade at 1,199.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) added 1.25% or 5.70 points to end at 459.90 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 1.01% or 1.00 points to 100.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were NKT Holding (CSE:NKT), which fell 5.69% or 31.50 points to trade at 522.50 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 2.66% or 320.00 points to end at 11,725.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was down 2.52% or 300.00 points to 11,620.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 35 and 20 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.03% or 1.27 to $63.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.86% or 1.20 to hit $65.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 23.55 to trade at $3,373.65 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.55% to 6.56, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 99.15.
