Saudi Arabia stocks higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 2.26%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financial Services, Energy & Utilities and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 2.26%.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al Qura for Development and Construction Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:4325), which rose 14.19% or 2.98 points to trade at 23.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (TADAWUL:8150) added 9.13% or 1.16 points to end at 13.86 and Nama Chemicals Co. (TADAWUL:2210) was up 8.98% or 2.55 points to 30.95 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8260), which fell 2.60% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.00 at the close. The Company for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8010) declined 1.56% or 2.20 points to end at 139.00 and Astra Industrial Group (TADAWUL:1212) was down 1.31% or 2.00 points to 151.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 296 to 41 and 10 ended unchanged.

Shares in Umm Al Qura for Development and Construction Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:4325) rose to all time highs; gaining 14.19% or 2.98 to 23.98. Shares in Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8260) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.60% or 0.24 to 9.00.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.96% or 0.66 to $69.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.91% or 0.66 to hit $73.05 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 9.61 to trade at $3,063.91 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.05% to 4.05, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 103.97.
